I’ve used Apache ANT for building Java projects for a long time. I think its a great build tool. However, it just seems like most teams are moving towards Gradle as a build tool.

The latest release of ANT is 1.10.15, which happened in August 2024.

Question – Is Apache ANT is maintenance mode now? Should teams be migrating to another build tool such as Gradle or Maven?
