Scrum Events

If you are a Scrum Master or leading a team in some sort of Scrum cadence, you will want to perform these events!

Scrum Events

  • Sprint or Iteration
    • This is the actual sprint itself. Usually like a 2 week period where team members work on stories.
  • Sprint Planning
    • Plan work for upcoming sprint. This can be the entire team or team leads planning the work. We like to assign stories to team members during this meeting.
  • Daily Scrum
    • Meeting that happens once a day or a couple times a week where team members discuss story progress. These meetings can be in-person, on MS Teams, or hybrid.
  • Sprint Review
    • Meeting with stakeholders to discuss progress towards spring goal(s). This meeting can include demo’s of progress. Sometimes this meeting doesn’t need to be a meeting, maybe email or chat would be enough.
  • Sprint Retro
    • Meeting with the team to discuss what went well and what did NOT go well.
